I'm getting active to support people with cerebral palsy!
As many of you would know, each year I like to raise money for Cerebral Palsy. Well, It's that time again! On the 20th of November I will be running to raise money for the Cerebral Palsy Alliance. It really is a great cause, and one that has touched me personally in my life. As some of you may know my beautiful mother has Cerebral Palsy and has been in a wheelchair for her whole life. Despite this disability she was able to raise 3 wonderful children with the support of charities like the Cerebral Palsy Alliance.
The ‘Coast to Kosci’ 240km race is Australia’s premier ultramarathon. Instigated in 2004, it has become a unique and iconic race, organised by runners for runners, which values Community, Humility and Resilience.
The race commences at Twofold Bay near Eden in Southern NSW in Australia and finishes 240km later at Charlotte Pass, after summitting Mt Kosciuszko, Australia’s highest point. Each year around 60 runners have up to 46 hours to complete the race. This year I am lucky enough to be chosen as one of the runners in this race.
